Reviews:

"The area of Portuguese creative musicians this time welcomes an American who has been present on recordings of improvised music for a long time, giving an important contribution wherever he has found himself participating in the most disparate projects, this is the cellist Fred Lonberg-Holm, together alongside him are the well-known double bass player João Madeira, Ernesto Rodrigues on viola, Flak on electric guitar and José Oliveira on percussion.
It is a rather long album, almost seventy minutes divided into nine songs in which collective improvisation is practiced, wonderful intertwining of strings supported by Oliveira's percussion which is striking for its viscerality, without anything cerebral, just emotions communicated in the most directed thanks to the music in constant fibrillation.
Everything works great thanks also to the balance within the collective, everyone participates and has something to say in the same way, without any voice prevailing or being out of place within the collective.
Fred and his cello integrate perfectly, as if he had always played in Lisbon, as always a great player who acts as a catalyst for a recording that keeps the expressive tension high from start to finish.
Rated 9/10" VITTORIO LOCONTE, kathodik.org
